I have a bad feeling...
So I am fairly new to Ebay as a buyer of vintage cameras / photography equipment. I have had wonderful interactions and transactions with sellers from Japan and the US. The communication with each has been excellent and timely, quick responses (emails) and quick delivery of items. Recently I purchased an item that has a larger dollar amount and it's been five days without anything. No information on whether the items have shipped or that the transaction even went through. No response to the email I sent inquiring about the status of the order. Nothing. I have a bad feeling about this transaction, the items were paid for at the time I pressed "Buy Now". How long do you wait? How long before I request to cancel the transaction and start the process of getting repaid? I still hold out hope that the deal will happen, but I'm starting to feel like I got "taken".

Go to your Purchase History, find the item, look at the estimated date of delivery. Has that date passed already?
IF/WHEN the latest estimated date of delivery has already passed by at least 1 day, you have up to 30 days past estimated date of delivery to file a Refund Request:
Go to your My Ebay page >> Purchase history
If the seller does not respond after 3 days, you can ask Ebay to step in to help you.

Thank you for your advice.
I really hope this purchase happens. In the past I had one transaction from Japan that there was no communication and the item just arrived. No tracking from the seller, no alert from ebay that the item even shipped, it just arrived 5 days after purchase. As a buyer I want to follow the Ebay community guide lines so thanks again for your help.

I never expect communications regarding my purchases on Ebay other than the order confirmation email that Ebay sends. I don't even pay attention to tracking, as I can see the estimated date of delivery in my Purchase History.
Hope your item arrives promptly. 🙂
