I have 2 issues and need to TALK to a HUMAN BEING NOT AI - how do I do that. It used to be easy but no more.
Summary: 19twister48 is seeking advice on two issues: handling a customer's request to delay shipping without incurring penalties, and listings not appearing in inactive items. fashionsandbeauty4u suggests informing the buyer about shipping policies and mentions a current site-wide issue. 19twister48 considers creating a shipping label but delays posting, while jacbarcollectibles warns that this will not prevent a shipping defect. The discussion focuses on proper communication and understanding eBay's policies.

I have a customer who wants to delay shipping by a week and I don't think I should get dinged for that - there should be someplace to make "buyer requested delayed shipping".
ALSO I have ended several items today and they are not showing up in my inactive listings which I have several. It has been done this way for 26 years and now something has changed.

OP1 week agoI thought about just making the label and then just not take it to post office until Monday. I am already dinged for not shipping it yesterday.

That's really up to you. I believe eBay labels are valid for seven days.

Mentor1 week agoYou need to know that just making the label now will not prevent a late shipping defect on your account. eBay uses the acceptance scan date to determine if you shipped within your handling time. So just printing a label will not help you prevent the defect.

Mentor1 week agoIf you are already dinged for late shipping then doing the label now isn't going to help. Just do the label when you get ready to ship because the acceptance scan is what matters....

#1. Let the Buyer know that eBay requires that you ship on time to the exact address in the Order Details and ask if they want to cancel. Some Buyers will ask Sellers to hold items for weeks. It's easier to just say no.
#2. There is a site wide issue right now that eBay is aware of. Several other major websites are also down.
