I had to delete my old credit card -how do I receive a refund from pair of shoes I have to return?

I had to delete my old credit card I had on file with Ebay.

However I am due to receive a refund - to my old credit card - the now deleted one when I return the shoes that don't fit me. How can this get processed?

eBay should be able to refund your card even if it has been deleted; deleting the card from your account prevents new purchases, but not a refund, which is basically just reversal of an existing transaction. The refund will go back to the account that was the source of the funds, even if your card number associated with that account has changed or been updated, as long as that account is still open.
