I had to cancel a winning bid due to error in the listing and the buyer left me a negative feedback
I don't think the negative feedback is fair. He was mad that I cancelled the sale but I had to because I discovered a problem when packing the item. Had I shipped it, he would have filed a claim.

Mentor1 year agoApparently, the buyer didn’t think it was fair that you cancelled their win.
There are only 30 days to revise feedback. If it doesn’t get done in 30 days, it stays.
After a year, it ages off and no longer has an impact on your feedback percentage.

OP1 year agoI understand that the buyer didn't think it was fair but had I sent the item, he would have disputed the transaction due to an error in the listing, which then would have resulted in either giving him a partial refund, or asking him to return on my dime. I think it's careless of someone to hurt someone's feedback rating based on their emmotions.
