I had a purchase that was sent to Florida instead of Illinois
I had a purchase that was to come to my home in Schaumburg Illinois but the seller must have put the wrong address on the package and sent it to Ft Meyers FL. The default shipping address is Schaumburh IL, I don't even anyone in Ft. Meyers FL. The seller just tells to look around my porch and sends a picture of the package on some front door in Florida 1300 miles away. Ebay does not help their AI can't understand what I tell it.

OP4 months agoI have jumped trrough so many hoops, I don't think they understand english the company is from a foreign country. The shipping address on Ebay for me is 921 Carlton Ln. Schaumburg, IL 60193 1300+ miles away. Here is the tracking:

Do steps 2 and 3 - it's all typing no need to try to understand someone.
2) Report the seller using this process

Important, select "Suspicious seller activity"
then "Other"
Explain that the seller is using fake tracking numbers
Include these phrases
Don't write a novel, it's initially being read by a computer, that's why I want you to use those 3 specific phrases in the message.
3) Finally, contact Customer Service and inform them that the seller uploaded a "false tracking number" on your purchase. Share any documentation you gathered. Request a refund.
Use the Customer Service that is on Instagram this way:

Send a private direct message to the page. Explain you have a fake or false tracking number situation.

First, double check your shipping address on the Order Details to confirm it has your correct address.
- Go here https://www.ebay.com/mye/myebay/purchase
- Find your item, click on "View Order Details" (it may be in "More Actions")
Confirm your address shows your correct Schaumburg Illinois address.
If your address is correct, but the tracking shows delivery to another state
- Screen shot the order details
- Screen shot the tracking
Then do steps 2 and below
You can skip this section since tracking shows another state.

Let me know how this goes, I've been burned a few times myself (including on Amazon), but I have been able to get a refund following this process.
