I had a bad interaction with a vendor via the chat/message seller option. It was very obvious that they were angry with the low offer I gave them towards something they were selling (a trading card). I was then bombarded with 5 messages from ebay of an offer on a trading card i wanted to buy with a few cents knocked off the price (the card was like $3.50), so i decided to purchase it without thinking anything of it. The problem is, the offer that was given to me was from the very same guy I had a problem with. Unfortunately I had no idea it was him until after I purchased it, so I tried to put a motion to cancel the order immediately. Now ebay says that it has to ask him if he want's to cancel the order or not. My main concern is that this person is going to do something malicious with my information now that ebay has given it to him. What do I do now? I'm starting to believe he made the offer to me just for the sole purpose of getting my address & personal information. How worried should I be? What should I do?

Mentor4 months agoThe offer probably was automatically sent to you per the seller's preferences to send offers to interested parties.
Since you accepted the offer, you are required to follow through with the transaction. The seller was not required to accept your request to cancel your purchase.
The only information has is your name & shipping address. Highly doubtful that they will use that to cause harm.
