I got a counterfeit item
I purchased a Funko recently and while I was placing it next to other boxes I noticed some details were off. I searched for the indicators for fake funkos and this one has them all. It's the Chandler Bing Funko with the little chick in his hand.
- The box doesn't have enough definition , so the colors are off. I searched for the REAL box on the internet and the frame of the box is supposed to have like a background in two tones of blue with drawings related to Friends. The one I received doesn't have that, except in zones where the drawings were too big and there's a glimpse of color, but you can't distinguish any shapes.
- The cutout of the box with the drawing of Chandler at the front is too thick. I thought this was an exaggeration from the internet, but I've checked all the rest of my boxes and none of them has that thick cutout.
- Under the box there's supposed to have a batch number. Mine doesn't have it.
- The Funko's paint job is not exceptional either. At first I didn't think too much of it because I've seen bad painting jobs from Funko. But this one is very bad.
I made a submission to eBay reporting that as counterfeit, but they didn't request for any pictures or proof, so I don't know if I successfully reported my purchase and I will be able to be refunded, or if I just reported the publication that, by the way, ended when I purchased it.
Do I have to wait to be contacted by eBay for more info and proof with pictures? Or did I report the purchase wrong?
Thanks,
Paula
