I entered tracking too late

I sold an item and it's been delivered and paid for but ebay is holding the money because I waited too long to enter the tracking. I entered the tracking and I still hadn't been paid.

Entering the tracking after delivery does not do anything to get your funds released automatically. Now that you entered the tracking you need to contact customer service and ask them to manually check the tracking you entered to prove delivery.

Unfortunately you will still need to answer the AI bot questions in order to get help. eBay removed our way to get around the questions so you may need to ask for “Agent” several times before the system gets the message and lets you ask for the call back.
