I do not want to sell anything to a California address.
I do not want to sell anything to an address in California, there are too many returns. How do I block people from California from buying my listings?

The only states eBay allows Sellers to exclude is Alaska and Hawaii. Even if you put in your listing descriptions that you will not sell to anyone in California, that would not be supported or enforced by eBay. If you cancel sales because the person lives in California, you risk having your account restricted or suspended.
Around 40% of the U.S. population lives in California. If you are getting more returns from that state, it's all relative.

OP1 year agoThanks fashionsandbeauty4u. I will take this into consideration. It's very annoying. I will end all my ebay listings soon and get completely off the platform. It's just not worth it anymore.
