I did what Ebay told me to do and then they said you shouldn't have done that!
I will try to keep this short. Had a buyer that stated the shipping box was damaged and the item "fell out" and he didn't get it. We started a claim with USPS but the buyer opened a case for, did not receive. Tracking shows delivered so it was closed in my favor. Immediately the buyer opened a return, I called Ebay and explained the situation, with claiming not receiving they obviously had nothing to return. Ebay stated, "do not do anything and just let the time elapse and let it play out. Ebay will find in your favor or atleast pay you both".
So here we are today.....One defect and buyer refunded at my expense. Ebay admits and agrees that they were wrong but will not refund me, or remove the defect. As a seller do we just stop banging our heads against the wall and move on or is there something else that can be done?
To be honest normally I just figure it's the cost of doing bussiness but this has me mad.
TIA

That's why it's best to always ask for help here first we know how the rules really work.
Agents often say what a member wants to hear on the phone so they will get a good rating on their feedback even if it's not true. 😞
