Mentor1 year agoBuyers can request a cancellation, but not demand one. Only sellers can cancel an order. That being said, sometimes it is impossible. Some sellers have their items at a warehouse, and once an order is placed, wheels are set in motion that cannot be stopped.
Seller do not charge your card. Sellers can't even see how you paid. The charge is put through immediately once you purchase an item. So in essence, you charged your own card.
You will have to wait for the item to be received and then open a return case through your purchase history. There is no other way. Refusing delivery negates your buyer protection.

Mentor1 year agoHi @dshaudys2012
eBay handles payment charges … NOT the sellers.
Buyers can only ‘request’ a cancellation. We aren’t entitled to one automatically.
eBay policy is that we forfeit a refund by refusing delivery of an item. You can file a return request … and pay the return shipping … if the listing allows returns for changing our mind.

Mentor1 year agoI would recommend that you do not refuse the delivery. That could make things worse.
You are not covered by eBay buyer protection if you refuse the delivery.
Instead, you will need to return the item to the seller, using the regular return process.
The seller is not obligated to accept your cancellation request. I'm not sure why anyone would not cancel but the seller can continue with the transaction. You would then need to return the item if the seller accepts returns.
