I changed the shipping mode last minute at the USPS office
I walked to the post office with a printed label I paid to Ebay before leaving my office and a closed box with the item I was selling. In the post office, I realized there wasn't a way to add a signature receipt, so I had to pay again for shipping that included a signature request. So this means I lost the $19 I paid to eBay earlier. I then took a picture of the receipt and sent it to the buyer so he could read the new tracking number. Was this done correctly? Can I have the payment for the original shipping ($19) back to me? Thanks

·3 years agoWith USPS, you have 5 days to void the shipping label.
Go to your shipping labels and click Void in the menu next to the label.
It'll take 3 to 4 weeks to receive the refund.
You need to update the tracking number for the order.
Go to the order and click add/update tracking number and enter the new number.

OP3 years agoUnfortunately, after spending an hour looking for the word "void" I can't find it inside Selling > Shipping Labels or any other page in my eBay account. The USPS shows both tracking numbers with the old one showing "$00" and the new one with the total cost I paid in the USPS office.
I tried to update the new tracking number five times, but I could not update it. After I type each number, it shows an error sign. Nothing happens. And I just found out that the photo of the USPS receipt is no longer in "messages," but I do see this photo in messages on my phone.
Any suggestion? Thanks

Seller Hub > Orders > Shipping labels
You have 5 days to VOID the label. The USPS will credit your account in 2-3 weeks after they have determined that the label was never used.
When you EDIT the tracking, ebay will then show both tracking numbers. Let your buyer know which one is correct.
