You couldn't log in, so you created this new account so you could get access to the community. Can you give more information than you can't log in? Like, do you get routed to a page different from what you expected? Is there any response at all, for example an error message? Something else weird?
Before you do anything else, exit all applications and shut down your device cold dead. Wait several seconds, I usually count off twenty. Start up. Try logging in again and see what happens. I've found that a reboot fixes ninety percent of the inexplicable computer problems that I have.
