I cannot rate an item I have not yet tried.
eBay will not allow me to leave feedback unless I rate items. The kicker is that I am too busy to try the items, and I'm not going to say anything about them if I can't try them. I have several purchases that I cannot leave feedback for, and this has to be changed.

by far, you're not alone in your dislike of this change to the way buyers leave feedback.
You can go to your feedback page and click the blue Comments buttons on the right side of the page. Answer the question, click send and another page opens to ask you about photos. Answer those questions and then in the comment box, instead of commenting on the photos, let eBay know of your thoughts about leaving a product review instead of feedback about how the transaction went.
The more buyers who do this, the better.

You should find time to try them within 30 days so you can use the money back guarantee if you have to. Since you can leave feedback for 60 days, you'll still have that remaining 30+ days to leave feedback.
