I cancelled an auction after it ended, at buyer's request. Will I owe Ebay for the 'sale'?
I had an item listed for auction, and 30 minutes or so before it ended, a buyer messaged me saying they needed to retract their bid. The auction ended before they did this. They explained they still needed to cancel their bid, and so I cancelled the auction before they had paid.
RATHER THAN clicking 'relist' I believe I accidentally clicked 'sell another like this' and duplicated my original description to put the item back up for sale. Ebay is showing that I have 'sold' that item, even though the original auction was cancelled.
Is there any way I can not be charged for that auction, since I was never paid, and am now effectively relisting the item anyway (just not with the 'relist') button?

Mentor2 years agoYou aren't charged final value fees until the buyer pays so you are OK there. Cancelled items will still show in your Orders list...the item WAS sold, then it was cancelled. If you don't want to look at the order, you can move it to Archived using the option in the dropdown list next to the transaction.
