I canceled auction sale-buyer didn't pay. Sent 2nd chance offer(fine). Why did it relist as auction?

Question

Several questions: Does it relist as an auction automatically?

Should I stop this new auction while the second-chance offer runs its course?

I never knowingly hit a button to create a new auction. I only wanted to send a second-chance offer.

If I cancel the second auction, will I be charged?

I tried to phone ebay but they don't take calls for this reason on a Sat.

(I also couldn't edit the second chance offer, but I'm guessing that's just an ebay rule.)

I don't see an auction currently listed on this ID. I do see a sold one.

When you cancel for non-payment there is the option to automatically have the system relist the auction. It is usually enabled by default. It can be easy to miss it and turn it off. Look for a check box next to a question about automatically relisting.

You can end an auction that does not have any bids and there will be no fee, however you will still pay any listing fees that were charged when it listed. If you only have one of the item it may be best to not list it again until the second chance offer expires. you don't want to pay a fee to cancel the auction with bids if it sells with the second chance offer.

You are correct second chance offers can not be edited.
