I can’t figure out mailing cost. I weight package measure it but I am always wrong with Fedex
And adjustments are at ridiculous prices ie 12 lb package 42x18x6 ground delivery 88.00 from Texas to Florida

Your guitar shipping boxes are being affected by Volume pricing (used to be called Dimensional weight).
Any box volumes over 12 x 12 x 12 = 1728 cubic inches is charged higher rates PLUS the package length of 42" would have at least $ 15 more tacked on if it were USPS (any length over 34" gets that surcharge). The 42 x 18 x 6 would be 4536 cubic inches, so you are paying for the volumetric space on the carrier's transportation vehicles (planes, trains & automobiles) ...
It's sort of like a pound of feathers and a pound of bricks both weigh a pound ... BUT try to ship them and the pound of feathers goes in a box that costs way more than the smaller box with a pound of bricks in it.
Also, some of the shipping I see on your packages are close to or more than half the guitar selling price, that is not a good combination on a forced return of an item where you have to pay the return shipping.
I stopped using FedEx years ago when they started double charging me for shipping costs by simply listing more fees under (at the time) Other charges. Back then FedEx labels were paid on the monthly PayPal invoice and the surprise extra charges were well after the fact so neither eBay or FedEx would explain in detail WHAT those charges were for ... I stopped using them and never looked back.
I suspect that you also have a lot of time invested in securely packing the guitars so they ship securely. There is no real solution, your items cost a lot to ship and go in a big box.

Mentor9 months ago@ebolks Don't use Fed Ex. Did you get a notice of a surcharge? There are extra costs due for oversized packages. Shipping prices are based on dimensions, not just weight. https://page.message.fedex.com/weight_calculator The dimensional weight is 33lbs.
Only eBay customer service can file the dispute since they are the Fed Ex customer. I recommend contacting CS on social media to ask them to do this. Keep in mind that Fed Ex does sometimes add incorrect surcharges but there are CORRECT surcharges that you can read about on the Fed Ex website.
Personally if I have an item that is too large or heavy to ship via USPS then I use UPS and buy the label from PIrateship.com. Pirateship helps with insurance claims and surcharge disputes. UPS does have a list of valid surcharges on their website too. UPS does not add surcharges as often as Fed Ex does.
Here's how to contact eBay general customer service:
