I bought shipping insurance. How do I claim so I can refund the buyer?

I remember going through the process when purchasing my shipping label from eBay, and I added extra insurance beyond what the post office offered to cover the purchase price.

Now I have not found any path to making a claim on that insurance.

Can anyone offer advice? The US Postal Service lost the package or worse.

First refund your buyer and resolve that problem, then file your insurance claim. If USPS finds they are at fault, they will reimburse. One action is not tied to or dependent on the other. You can file the claim online here:
