I bought item but never arrived,got empty package that wasnt secured,then i was told because i didnt
I bought item seller sent unsecured package so item was lost or stolen,then because I didn't get message or email they sent I'm out over 300,no it won't happen again,in 21 years this is only item I've never received!sellers should be educated on packaging, absolutely ridiculous, deleting account!!

Mentor1 year ago@g-lee29 as @eastlaneave posted, open a return item case, which is next to the purchased item, with the reason 'missing parts or pieces' then the seller HAS to send u a prepaid return shipping label and u send the empty package back.
if the seller does not supply the shipping label on the time line set out on the case, click on the 'ask ebay to step in' button

If you have not already, you should open a Return Request. The reason could be "Damaged or Defective Item", "Missing Parts & Pieces" OR "Different from what I ordered > Didn't Match Description" if the item you got was not what was shown and described.

Do not close your return request until you either have your refund in hand or you have the replacement item. Do not close it because the seller promises you something.

OP1 year agoIt was in response to item18 72977-76704 which was a s23 galaxy phone,my only mistake was not to cancel bid in time,I even asked to cancel transaction and seller sent anyway,then he send box without ends taped(either end) and he said it was fully taped(I had tons of pics and anyone could tell it never had tape on either end)so once I retrieved it from mailbox it was opened and no phone,so it was not sent,stolen or fell out(which I think had happened)after opening case with ebay and uploading 2pics(which it cut off at that)they decided in HIS favor,I couldn't believe it(because he provided tracking for box)then I appealed and because I didn't know they sent email telling me how to apply for police report (why should I have to when he was seller?so needless to say it can't be overturned so I'm out over 300 for nothing and no phone,I think after 21years and this is only item hadn't received it's pretty strange, I won't deal with ebay again and will be deleting my account shortly!worst experience ever!

It sounds like you opened an "Item Not Received Case"
Because the seller had tracking, you will lose that.
Now, open a Return Request.
You should open a Return Request. You will return the box you received.

In addition you may want to file a police report as advised by eBay.
You can include in your report that the item may have been stolen en route to you.
Also contact the Postal Inspectors
Report suspected mail losses to Postal Inspectors by calling 877-876-2455
The USPS can examine all the weights and photos of the package along the way to see if there was a phone, and if it was pilfered along the way.
