I bought a video card; the seller said it was in perfect condition, but it's defective. What should
he item was purchased on October 29,
but due to international shipping delays and local postal service delays in Bolivia,
the item was delivered on January 19, 2026.
The graphics card shows hardware artifacts immediately on first power-on,
indicating defective VRAM.
The item arrived defective (DOA).
I can't open a return?, if ebay said :
"The return window was closed.
We can't process your request to return this item because it's outside the seller's return window. Please contact the seller directly to return this item or see whether you qualify for ebay money back guarantee."
I contacted the seller through eBay messages as soon as I tested the item. The seller replied and acknowledged the issue, stating that he is willing to issue a refund next week. However, the seller did not specify whether the refund would be full or partial, and no refund has been initiated through the eBay system so far.
I have all the evidence available, including:
- Photos and videos of the graphical artifacts
- Proof of delivery date
- Full message history with the seller inside eBay
I am requesting eBay’s assistance to resolve this case properly through the platform, as the item received is defective and not functioning as expected.

Mentor8 months ago@josbogadoiriart0 The eBay Money Back Guarantee is only 30 days from the date of delivery for items that are not as described.
Did you have the item shipped directly to you by eBay or the seller? Or did you use a package forwarding service?
