I am not using eBay shipping to ship my items. How do I sent the buyer the shipping info?

I am not using eBay Shipping to mail my sold items. How do I send my customers the shipping info so they know their purchases are on the way?

eBay would like sellers to use an online-trackable shipping method. If you are shipping through a major carrier and are not purchasing eBay labels, all you need to do is mark the item as shipped and add the carrier tracking number to the item in your sold item list. You will see a slot there for adding/editing the tracking number.

If the carrier doesn't have online tracking, then mark the item as shipped and send a message to the buyer to let them know what carrier to expect and when to start looking for the item.

I usually say something like: "Thank you for your purchase. Your item shipped today via First class letter and should arrive within about five days. Please let me know if you don't see it by the end of the week."
