I am having an issue with a seller that sold me an item with a lifetime warranty.
I am having an issue with a seller that sold me an item with a lifetime warranty. The seller sent the item with the warranty information. The item failed within a couple of months of receiving it. The manufacturer’s warranty says to contact the seller and arrange to return the item with the purchase receipt, and the item will be replaced by the seller.
The seller seemed helpful at first by asking for pictures and saying they would help, but I have sent the pictures, and they have ghosted me. They won’t return any of my messages, and it’s been weeks of trying to get them to respond.
I need eBay’s help, but I am in a loop with eBay’s automated system trying to talk to a live agent/teammate with no success. I call the number and an automated agent asks me to state the problem, and no matter what I say it texts me another useless link that doesn’t address my issue.
I have been an eBay seller and buyer for over 20 years and really feel like I should be able to speak to someone that can help me. Is that possible, or do I need to cut my losses and stop using eBay?
Thanks for your help.

·2 years agoThere's nothing Ebay will do, since the MBG has expired.
Unless the seller was an authorized dealer for the item, the manufacture won't stand behind their warranty.
When you bought the item, did you register it with the manufacture for the warranty?
