I am finding it impossible to speak or chat with a live agent
I have repeatedly tried resolving this with Ebay, but it has continued for YEARS. For some reason, their calls never go through, and I keep receiving this message, and when I try to call Ebay, their automated voice either tells me it's outside business hours-which it never is-or they are unable to transfer me to an agent. I find this unacceptable as a 20-year Ebay seller

We tried to contact you, but weren't able to reach you at the phone number on file, because either:
- The call was not answered
- The call reached a voicemail
- The call reached a busy signal
- The number called was wrong or disconnected
- eBay’s Customer Service phone number is blocked on your device
- Spam filters enabled on your device blocked the call
We recommend you check the settings on your phone to ensure the call was not blocked. This can happen if you have activated spam filters on your device that automatically block unknown phone numbers. You can find more information on how to deactivate those settings in your device manufacturer support page, or contact your mobile carrier for assistance.

If you recently changed to another phone number, please update it in My eBay. To update your phone number in My eBay:
- Go to My eBay.
- From My eBay, select the Account tab.
- Select Personal information on the left side of the page.
- Select Edit next to the information you want to update.

OP1 year agoAll I want to do is speak or chat with a live agent, and I see no reason this should involve social media. I find it totally unacceptable a global company like Ebay makes it nearly impossible to do this. This is not the case with Amazon, Apple or other similarly sized tech companies.

Mentor1 year agoI understand your frustration. We are just volunteers and can't fix the site issues. I can only suggest alternate contact methods if the call back option isn't working for you.
