I am ebay seller 15 years. Shipping label made on ebay today being rejected at the PO when scanned.
Made a label for package today on ebay just like I do every day. Label is being rejected when a scan attempted at the PO as follows - "This tracking number not valid for "Prepaid Acceptance"" Clerk at PO said he had never seen this before. Came back to my office, cancelled the label and made new one. Went back to the PO with package and new label. Same error message when scanning. Can anyone please help?

Mentor8 months agoThis occurs if the tracking didn't get uploaded correctly to USPS, the barcode is corrupt or otherwise unreadable, etc., or there is a delay in the database update and sometimes works later.
First try going to USPS and typing in the barcode and see the results. If you do not get the error, then look closely at the barcode to make sure it is has sharp black edges (use a magnifying glass). You can also use the USPS app on your phone to scan the tracking number to check it.
If still a problem, open a free PirateShip account and print a label there. Note that PirateShip will directly integrate with ebay and is great as a backup for when problems occur on ebay.
