I accidentally ordered something to the wrong address - I immediately sent the seller a message to send to a different address and they will not respond to my messages. What can I do?

I ordered something to my old address and as soon as I clicked purchase, I realized the mistake and immediately sent the seller a message with the new address and requested to cancel the order. It's been eight days since then, the seller "refused to cancel the order" and has not responded to ANY of my messages.

What can I do? Why would they not respond?

I'm in the U.S. and the seller is in India.

Did you file a forwarding order with the USPS when you moved? Those expire after 1 year, so if it has been more than a year, the package will be returned to the seller. I'm surprised the seller will not file a cancellation with Problem with buyer's address, and relist the item so you can repurchase with the correct address.
