    A typo in entering the bid amount is the ONLY bidder error that may be corrected by retracting the bid. You must rebid the correct amount (the amount you intended to type in the first place) immediately after the retraction goes through. There are time limits (12 hours before the scheduled auction end or 1 hour after the bid was placed, whichever is later, but in no case later than the actual end of the auction) so don't delay.

    Hi @jaso3364

    You can Retract a bid BUT you have to replace it with a correct bid ... it sounds like the auction is already past the point you are willing to spend.

    If you have been in touch with the Seller they can CANCEL your bid for you without penalty.  They need the item number and your ID ... it is a simple process for them.  If they don't know how to do it they can ask here.

    A worst-case scenario is you wind up winning the auction but decide not to pay.  If the Seller cancels before 4 days because you asked them to then that is great.  They can use the reason Buyer requested and neither account gets a strike.  If they wait until day 5 and cancel they can use the reason Buyer hasn't paid.  Your account will get ONE Unpaid item strike, that takes 12 months to roll off your account.  If you only get ONE of those in 12 months you will have NO issues buying on eBay.  If you get 2 then you will have trouble buying on eBay.

    If the Seller is new they may not know all of this ... if they have been Selling for a while they should already know how to facilitate your request to Cancel your bid.

    Thank you he keeps saying he can't do it and I'm not accusing him of this because I don't know but it is suspicious that after I told him I accidentally bid 1550.00 then someone came In who hadn't bid before bid it up $75 in 30 seconds and the same card has been up for like 30 with no bids the card from same set but numbered lower than the one I bid on is at 30 bucks again I don't want to accuse anyone but why wouldn't he cancel my bid and the next bid is still $75 for a maybe $20 card

    @jaso3364

    The Seller is lying, they CAN cancel your bid.  Did you have to provide a payment method prior to placing your bid?

    @jaso3364

    Sellers CAN NOT leave less than Positive feedback for Buyers, eBay Policy.  If they leave a Positive Feedback with a negative statement about you not paying you can eBay remove it.  That is a policy violation.

    They can Cancel any time, not sure why they are doing this to you ... if they cancel on day 5 they can use the reason Buyer hasn't paid and that is when your account will get the Unpaid item strike.  As previously mentioned, one of those strikes will not hurt your ability to purchase on eBay but 2 or more will.
