HUMAN TO TALK TO
apparently ebay no long has humans with whom one can talk to about a problem. There six automated categories to submit a problem (all of which deal only with transactions already placed), BUT NO WAY to contact about a problem not in these narrow categories!
And despite what all the phone numbers' recording tell you, there is no phone number at the bottom of any page from ebay.
Yall keep f***ing with the web page so that now I have to prove I'm human every couple of pages while searching a sellers' site. AND once I prove it, it starts me over at the beginning of the 1000s of a sellers listings so that I never get to see all that someone is offering !! ! ! ! (*$%$&^*^T& automation!)

Repeated Captcha requests or failures might be a sign that your browser is having problems saving cookies properly, or else a sign of a network issue. Using a VPN or a hotspot, or certain kinds of privacy software might also cause some issues.
Make sure your browser is up-to-date and has JavaScript enabled (and not blocked) and that cookies are not being blocked:
https://www.whatismybrowser.com/
Try using a different browser or a private or incognito browser window and see if you run into the same Captcha issues. If not, try manually erasing just your eBay cookies in your original browser.
Try an alternative link to sign in to rule out an issue with a particular link:
https://signin.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Try temporarily disabling your ad blocker to see if that makes a difference.
If you are using a mobile browser, try changing to a different browser mode: mobile, classic or desktop. Try a desktop browser or a mobile browser in desktop mode.
Or try using the eBay app.
If you contact eBay directly, mention ALERT15299 to have your account added to the open ticket.
You may be better off asking your question here to get suggestions from experienced users.
To contact eBay, use the chat assistant that you reach from the Help & Contact page to request a chat with an agent or a call back.
What options you see may depend on your particular issue and how busy that department is at the moment.
Try entering "agent" into the chat window. You may have to provide some context to reach the correct department. If you see a "Still need help?" or "More options" choice, either of those should lead to a call back option.
If nothing else works, try this link:

If you are unable to get a call back, that may be for several reasons; a location outside of North America, VOIP phone, and call blockers (personal or that of a service provider) are often issues.
