human!!!!!! customer service!!!!!!!! you won 't take my money!!!!!!!!
Summary: madscientist_at_large expressed frustration over being unable to use their debit card on eBay to purchase a computer, criticizing eBay's customer service and ineffective help pages. They mentioned better experiences with other platforms. lady_madonna suggested using PayPal and provided steps to contact eBay customer service directly, but madscientist_at_large continued to express dissatisfaction, criticizing eBay's help system and reluctance towards social media interactions.
So I was stupid enough to get a debit card to use on ebay for awhile. They let me order a computer stand, but are blocking me from spendin $140 on a computer, specifically a thin client, not the type of thing scammers are likely to buy, seriously. And ebay doesn't even have the decency to let me know what the problem is either on the site or by emailing me. Again, i got this specifically to buy said computer etc. I registered the card. if you can't stop fraud maybe i don't, have a human look at it instead of Artificial Idiocy??? Seriously, the police usually provide better customer service. I got the card specifically to use today on ebay, so i didn't miss out on things and could finish a transaction.
The taxonomy imposed by the alleged help system is worthless other than to tell people they must be stupid and have them read things that don't apply because the taxonomy wasn't developed by a consumer but rather by people who snap their' fingers and the problem is solved. Yeah, got some money owed me and wanted to blow a bit. I've been a member since 2000, excellent feedback. I'll spend money elsewhere until people decide to be real and actually helpful rather then drowning in the trough of undeserved money and respect they have.
And we aren't stupid, you are working for ebay one way or another, you are not volunteering. Bricks and mortar, bricks and mortar. Not harassment, greed, and total apathy about anything other than the cash. Apparently that's all you are up to. Yeah, after more than 20 years I'm about to walk away because I've actually done better on alliexpress, they actually communicate when there is a problem. One call, less than 2 minutes. So, who do I call????????????????????

OP3 weeks agoTaxonomy of the help pages is very, very relevant. A bad taxonomy slows every one down especially when the problem doesn't have a solution in the help pages and they just run you around, and around and around. I don't do social media. So now I have waist my time with the Artificial idiocy....... really bad model guys, but companies don't get big by acting like big companies. ebay should care alot, instead ownership wants passive income, never would have guessed the're socialist, oh, I forgot they are entitled! 2 thumbs down, way, way down.

Mentor3 weeks agoYou can use Paypal as the payment source to purchase the computer, using the debit card as the funding source.

The word "taxonomy" has nothing to do with the Ebay help pages.
