Huge mess I've created
Summary: trell-84 encountered an issue after changing their bank information on eBay; they lost all their account records, including sales and feedback. selforfun advised them not to panic, suggesting they ensure they are signed into the correct account and check the username and transaction emails. They recommended verifying the account and checking the payout status before changing any more banking details. trell-84 expressed gratitude for the help.
Sold an item on ebay. Item was sent to authenticated. Finally my funds were sent to me but I forgot that I had changed banks. I tried to add my new banking information to my account and it was unsuccessful. I ended up calling customer support this morning. She tried lots of things but eventually had me change my password. Somehow, I ended up losing everything in my account. There is literally no record of any sales made ever. No record that there is any monies owed to me. No feedback. I am worried that I have made my whole account disappear. Where should I start?

Mentor1 week ago@trell-84 Here's how to change bank checking accounts and if you have any problems you can contact eBay customer service for help from #3
#1 First make sure your name and address on your eBay account match your new bank account exactly:
https://accountsettings.ebay.com/profile It must be a brick and mortar checking account, not virtual.
#2 Next try this: Go to your payments page and select Add Payment option.
https://ppcapp.ebay.com/myppc/wallet/list Then select add bank account and add the new account. Then if the old account is not automatically deleted you will need to delete it.
Here are screenshots of the steps: www.shipscript.com/ebayhelp/managed_payments/account_mp_add_new_bank_path.png
#3 If you still can not change banks then here's how to contact an eBay customer service managed Payments Agent:
Click this link> https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold?id=4814
Then Type Verify Checking account. In the chat bot box on the lower right.
Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.

Mentor1 week agoHi @trell-84 ,
First, don’t panic. Changing your password should not erase your sales, feedback, or payment history.
The first thing I would check is whether you are now signed into the same eBay account that made the sale. Look at the username shown on the account and compare it with the username in your original sale confirmation emails. It is possible you ended up signed into a different or newly created account.
Try signing out completely and then sign back in using the original eBay username or email associated with the sale.
eBay sign-in help:
https://www.ebay.com/help/account/signing-account/signing-account?id=4189
Once you are back in the correct account, check your Payments page for the payout status:
https://www.ebay.com/mes/summary
Since you changed banks, the payout may also need to be returned by the old bank before it appears back in your available funds.
I would verify the account first before changing any more banking information. If the username is definitely the same and all of your history is still missing, then contact eBay again and tell them specifically that your account history disappeared after the password change.
