huge amount of negative feedback and still consider reputable seller! WHY?
Why is a seller allowed to continue to sell when in the last 12 months. They have over 1600 negative feedback! ALL pretty much for the same reason.

Mentor8 months agoI agree with you and have been saying this for years, but unfortunately if they are a high volume seller, it is a % game. That many negatives would kill a small seller's account, but are hardly a blip on the radar for a large seller. And unfortunately we all have to play by the same rules. There are no small seller rules vs large seller rules.

Mentor8 months agoMake your own judgment rather than relying on eBay's rating of who is reliable or not.
If you think a seller has too many negatives, however you choose to calculate that -- or even just a small number of negatives that expose a troubling pattern -- find a better seller to do business with.
Not all negatives are equal. Some can be ignored entirely, such as complaints about shipping being too expensive; I can make up my own mind about whether a seller's shipping options are expensive or not, I do not care if different users have their own opinions about their own shipments. Other negatives are much more critical, such as a coin seller getting a negative for delivering a counterfeit instead of the real thing.

What was posted before by @golfingaddict is good info but since neutral feedback do not count against a seller's percentage reading those comments is also a good thing to do, since many should have been negatives.
The seller whose feedback count is above has a 98.7% rating right now. If you add one third of the neutrals to the negatives, their percentage would be in the 96% range which is terrible for a high volume ebay seller.

Mentor8 months agoHow many overall feedback does the seller have in a year?

Mentor8 months agoIt depends on the overall number of sales and feedback the seller receives.
If they get that much negative feedback it should be a warning to the buyer to stay away, but it does not always work.
And lastly, as much as we are led to believe that feedback is true, some buyers are quick to leave negative (granted, 1600 feedback saying the same thing should be a red flag to buyers)
