Question

The seller repairs ecms on cars I sent him my ECM so he could see if it would be capable of being repaired and then he accepts payment after he knows he can do the job but I cannot get him to respond to my last two messages about a status that is past due on the timeline he gave me

You already did the right thing by messaging the seller through eBay, that’s really the only proper way to contact them.

There’s no phone support or direct contact info for sellers, everything has to stay inside eBay messages. Since you sent your ECM in, this is basically tied to that original order, so all communication and protection depends on it.

At this point, I would send one more message asking for a clear update and timeline. Also take a look at the original listing to see what turnaround time they promised.

If you’re still within 30 days from delivery, definitely do that now so eBay can step in. After that window, it becomes much harder and depends on the seller replying.
