How to verify a purchase isn't fraud
What are some tips to ensure a purchaser is not a fraud? Sold an expensive item and need to ensure it is legit and I actually get paid (eBay is holding the funds) until buyer receives item.

There is no way to know ahead of time if a Buyer is a scammer or not. Did you read their Feedback? Anything jump out at you?
If it was the item sold on Nov 22 (and I assume shipped shortly there after), has it been delivered yet?

Nothing jumped out. Just no questions about the item, paid immediately (not bad but a bit odd for an expensive item). Feedback is positive, but no item info attached to any of them. I did review a bunch of the sellers and most seem to be very cheap/inexpensive items.
We were traveling and contacted the buyer to let them know. So haven't shipped the item yet.

-Are you back and will you ship tomorrow?
-What was your handling time?
-What was the original estimated delivery date?
-For a purchase that size if a Seller is late shipping Buyers might be inclined to file a claim that they did not receive the item regardless of what the Seller says ... the claim runs 4 days and if there is not a valid tracking number and movement of the item the claim can be closed for a full refund by the Buyer asking eBay to step in.
I hope I am not reading between the lines too much here but as more details emerge I almost feel like you are hesitant to ship the item?!?
