How to use EBay shipping discount with two shipments due to weight of the same item sold?
I have listed on EBay four brake rotors and brake pads but this item weighs 90 lbs. I want to split the shipment with 45 lbs. each but if I do this how do I apply EBay's shipping discount for two separate shipments for the sale of one item?

You can only enter the size and weight of one package in the calculated shipping section. When you print the shipping labels you just select print ANOTHER label to buy a second label.
This is what I do when a listing needs 2 boxes. ( if you need more boxes then you just have to decide how you want to divide the shipping cost)
Weigh and measure both boxes and look up the shipping price to the state farthest from you using this shipping calculator:
https://www.ebay.com/shp/Calculator ( change to package rate)
Add the shipping cost for the least expensive box to the item price.
Then use buyer pays> calculated shipping for the second box in this section of the quick listing tool:

When you print the shipping labels select Print Another label from the drop down menu next to the item. Your sold listing will then have two tracking numbers. Let the buyer know you are shipping in two boxes that may not arrive the same day.
Or if you are using the Advanced listing tool then these are the steps. (it will have the option to add a video in the photo section):
Go to the shipping section.
Select standard shipping small to medium sized items from the first drop down box.
Next enter your package weight and size.
Under Domestic Shipping select Calculated from the drop menu.
Click on the Plus to enter your shipping service.
You can add a handling cost if you wish, for example you are shipping an item that is breakable and need to pay for bubble wrap, you can add the cost here or include it in the item price.
