How to turn off "Watched Item Reminder" push notifications.
I'm getting multiple "watched item reminder" push notifications a day, but can't find a way to turn them off without turning off ALL push notifications. Since I do bid on items and sell things, it's obviously not an option to just turn ALL notifications off and miss important ones.
I've searched the options, the site and help section, but there doesn't seem to be anything there that corresponds to specifically watchlisted items.
Am I blind, or am I simply doomed to miss my chance to win an auction just to avoid being alerted at 10 pm about a random item I watchlisted once while trying to fall asleep?
And to make this 100% clear: I mean android app push notifications specifically tied to watched items. Not soon to end auctions, not offers, not being outbid, and not email notifications - I just mean push notifications on my phone about random items from my watchlist that aren't even auctions.

OP3 years agoI hate to "bump" this but I haven't gotten any answer yet.
The only workaround I've found (workarounds are NOT SOLUTIONS) is to literally delete every single watched item in my list. Now I am watching 0 of the 100 or so items I was keeping an eye on with plans to buy or bid on later.
If Ebay wants to pester me nonstop, I'll just stop keeping track of items that tempt me. It's not a solution, but it keeps me from inadvertently rewarding Ebay with extra money from transactions I don't need to make anyway. Their loss.

OP3 years agoYes, I have. This doesn't have anything listed at all for "watched item reminders" (Watch Alert has been disabled for a long time already, still getting these) and is, as far as I know, is about emails, not push notifications.
I'm talking specifically about the Mobile App (Android) sending me "watched item reminders" multiple times a day. There seems to be no options to disable these anywhere on the site or app - not without blocking Ebay from sending ALL push notifications in the OS itself.
