How to switch from a personal to a business account on eBay?

Hello, I want to upgrade my newly created account (z_apex) from personal to business, but I need guidance on how to do it properly without affecting my selling limits. Can anyone help?

@z_apex You will need to sell a few items first before you can change to a business account. A business account on eBay does not give you a higher listing limit.

I do understand though that if your Payoneer account is already a business account then you will not be able to change it to an individual. I found out that Payoneer only allows one account and you can't change it.

This is a problem I helped another international seller with recently.

The only option is to try opening ANOTHER eBay account from scratch and select the Business Account option right away during sign up if your Payoneer account is a business account.

The eBay account type and the Payoneer account type must match.

Registering as a seller

If you're thinking about selling on eBay, you can choose to register as an individual or a business seller.

If you're a Registered Business seller (Sole proprietor/Single member LLC, Corporation/Multi member LLC, Partnership), select Create a business account on the registration page. We'll ask for some additional details, like your business name, type, and address, as well as any beneficial owners, officers, directors or account managers.

If you're a US based seller with inventory outside the US, you may have additional tax obligations. You can find more information about these possible obligations in the Seller Center.

Make sure that your bank account type matches your eBay account type. For example, if you have a business bank account, make sure you register as a business seller. If you have a personal account, you can change it to a business account from account settings.
