Summary: caromi shared their positive experience with an eBay customer service representative named "Chris," who resolved a longstanding issue with their listings not indexing in search results. After a year of ineffective support experiences, Chris's knowledgeable and attentive approach led to a successful resolution. caromi expressed gratitude and sought advice on how to formally commend Chris. comics-scifi-collectibles offered to pass the compliment to eBay community staff.
Hi, the customer service rep I spoke to yesterday, "Chris" was able to help me with a problem that's been keeping 100 of my listings from indexing to search for over a year. I want to sell full time again but this problem has prevented it. The listings weren't in violation, they just werent in search and nobody could tell me why It's been going on for well over a year and he finally took the time and worked past a LOT of frustrating challenges to solve the problem. I've spent so many hours this past year with eBay cs transferring me in circles, leaving me on hold and being hung up on. Even worse are the reps with their little scripts who don't listen and rattle nonsense at warp speed or the ones who give the stupidest advice because they don't know a thing about ebays site.
Chris listened, he took the time to test a number of steps and ideas and we were both a bit surprised when he finally found a solution. He ended up spending LESS time on the phone than most of the other reps who bothered to try because he was knowledgeable about ebays system.
I woke up today to find that all my edits yesterday are live today!! I'm very happy and can bulk edit the other 80 items now.
I'm extremely grateful, I just wish there were a way to send a compliment to let his boss know what a valuable skilled employee he is.
