How to revise a listing.
Summary: tottlojo had a listing removed due to using potentially misleading keywords like "Playstation 5." Despite claiming the item was an actual Sony Playstation 5 Dual Sense Wireless Controller, their appeal was rejected. jacbarcollectibles suggested that the issue might be with using a brand name when the item isn't exactly that brand. tottlojo confirmed that the controller was indeed a genuine Sony product.
I had listing removed. Here's what they said I did...
"What happened
Manipulating search results to gain unfair visibility of a listing is not allowed.
Please understand that you used the keywords " Playstation 5" in the title or description of the listing. Keywords are often used for the purpose of diverting members to a listing, which is not permitted. Also, usage of different keywords in the title results in a poor search experience. Keywords can be defined as brand names, celebrity names, designer names, specific products, or other much searched words, which are unrelated with the actual item for sale. You can relist your item by removing the unrelated keywords from your listing."
Every other listing for this item is close to or exactly the same as mine. I don't understand how I am supposed to list an Item if I don't state what it is. I tried to appeal but it was immediately rejected, probably by a bot.
I'd be glad to change it but what am I supposed to change it to? In the appeal I asked for suggestions but it was ignored. Do I just remove the Playstation 5 from the listing? Thanks for any help and suggestions.

Mentor2 weeks agoWithout being able to see the original listing it is hard to give any assistance. What we can say is that if you use a brand name the actual item must be that brand item and not an item that is similar to the brand name item or works with the brand name item. What exactly were you trying to list?

OP2 weeks agoI was listing a Sony Playstation 5 Dual Sense Wireless Controller Chroma Pearl. That was the actual title I used. It appears to me that is a real controller by Sony.
