How to return a refund.

Question

As a buyer I received a refund for a purchase that had not arrived on time. A week later the item arrived. I can't find an option on my ebay to give the refund back to the seller.

There is no way to return a refund through eBay. However, if the seller used the eBay shipping center to print the label, shipped within their stated handling time and the tracking now shows the item delivered eBay will refund the seller out if their pocket. This may be automatic or the seller may have to contact eBay to get the refund. You do not have to do anything.

@chas19695 Thank you for being an honest buyer. You can choose to reach out to the seller and make arrangements to pay for the item again offsite using an electronic payment method. OR snail mail the seller a check.

You are allowed to share contact info after a recent sale. This is not considered an offsite sale since the transaction already took place.

As @jacbarcollectibles mentioned the seller may be eligible for seller protection but they may need to contact customer service. If they didn't use an eBay label and refund willingly from the case then they lose seller protection.
