How to return a box/merchandise ...?
Hello,
What should be the procedure to follow in order to return a merchandise/box to a seller when either, the description was incorrect, or it arrived broken:
1- With the seller?, with ebay?
2 - How to deliver the box with the USPS (USA-Mail) driver who visits us at the building?; -- just to give him the box, writing on it something like 'return to sender''...?
Thank you.

OP2 years agoOK, understood, last question:
Once I have the shipping label ready and put it on the box ...
Can I give it to the driver/postman who comes to my building...?. is this all?
Thanks.

OP2 years agoIs there any other solution than going to the post office?. Can ebay send me the 'shipping label' in an envelope by regular mail?
-- and in case the latter is possible, once I have the shipping label and put it on the box, can I give it to the driver/postman who comes to my building...?.
Perhaps you are surprised by so many questions but I am already seventy years old and I do not have transportation ... sometimes things are heavy, etc, etc, etc.
Thank you.

Mentor2 years agoDo you have a friend or relative with a computer/printer? You could log into your account, and once the link to the shipping label is available, you can then print the label using their computer & printer. Your local library also has computers you can use and print a label for a very reasonable fee.

OP2 years agoJust to more questions:
In my case I don't have a printer, what could I do...?.
It is not clear to me when the note says:
"If you're responsible for the return shipping costs."
How is it possible ...?
In what cases would the buyer be responsible for paying for the return of a merchandise, if for example it does not match the description given...? And if I agree, (it didn't come damaged, etc), why would I want to return it then?, I don't understand, it is not clear why ... thanks for your comments and patience.

Mentor2 years agoAny time the return states Not as Described/damaged, the seller is responsible for return shipping. The only time the buyer is responsible for return shipping is if the seller has a No Returns policy, which is for buyer's remorse: changed mind, didn't like it, doesn't fit, found it cheaper elsewhere. In those instances, the seller can decline the return. If the seller accepts the return, then the buyer pays return shipping
Since you do not have a printer, when the seller accepts the return, and ebay gives you a link to print the label, you can select to save the QR-code to your smart phone. You then take the package to the post office, and show the QR-code to the clerk at the counter, and the clerks prints and places the label on the package. (Make sure the original label to you is covered up).

If the item is "not as described", the seller will be required to refund you directly or else provide a prepaid return label (in the US) or pay for tracked shipping (overseas) and then refund when tracking shows the item has been delivered back to the seller.
If the seller does not cooperate, ask eBay to step in after three business days.

OP2 years agoOk, I understand that point.
The following:
How to deliver the box with the USPS (USA-Mail) driver who visits us at the building?; -- just to give him the box, writing on it something like 'return to sender''...?
Thanks

No -- returning your package by writing "return to sender" would not result in you getting a refund and would invalidate your money back guarantee.
Once you get your prepaid shipping label, put it on the box and contact the shipping service to schedule a pickup from your carrier or take the package to the nearest shipping location.
