How to retract feedback
There was a discrepancy with a seller's listing and it was inaccurate. The seller promised to send me a replacement item that correctly matched the description. A month goes by and I follow up asking seller about the status. The seller proceeds to tell me they can't send me the replacement item anymore but promises to send me other replacement items for my trouble. In the mean time, I gave the seller negative feedback. The seller contacts me immediately to request that I change the feedback from negative to positive . I gave them the benefit of the doubt and changed it. Now, a month later(2 months after I ordered the itiginal item) the seller still has not provided a replacement item that he promised. How can I remove my positive feedback and report the seller for stringing me along and falsely advertising in his listing?

Mentor2 years agoHi @akelley85 Can you leave a follow up comment to your altered feedback? They really deserve bad feedback for how they treated you. And they're selling what amounts to Mystery Boxes, not describing or picturing exactly what is included for the cost, and eBay outlawed that a million years ago. You can report their listings for violating eBay Policy. About half way down on the right, look for the little link that says Report this item. That will do more to sanction them for their bad seller practices than any feedback. Good luck!

When the seller broke his first promise, why would you expect him to keep his second promise? This is a ploy that dishonest sellers use. They string you along with sweet talk and false promises until the 30-day money back guarantee elapses. From now on, never accept a replacement, always go for the refund. When you get your money back, you can buy your own replacement ... from a decent seller.
Now, all you can do is call the customer service number on the back of the credit card that you funded the purchase with. Tell the representative that you've been defrauded and need to do a chargeback. Use that word. The rep will transfer you to the appropriate desk, but before she gets away, ask her for the direct number to the chargeback agent. Then, if your call gets dropped, you won't have to go through that infuriating computer choice tree when you first connect.

OP2 years agoI'm not looking for a refund. I just want to change feedback and/or report the seller so they don't do it to someone else.
