How to report seller who is accumulating multiple negative feedbacks for non-shipment to eBay?
Ebay has adopted robots, making it impossible to talk to a real person. I filed a non-receipt of item dispute with PayPal, so I can no longer file a dispute with eBay's customer. Meanwhile, the seller is accumulating multiple new negative feedback for stiffing others as well. It may take days for eBay to get back to me through PayPal. How do I let eBay know about this bad seller?

Mentor3 years agoIt's not impossible to speak with an eBay rep. There are contact links all over the Help & Contact section of the website. But there is no need to contact eBay when you don't receive an item. Instead of going through PayPal, you should have done this...
When it's past the estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History, you have up to 30 days to use the option next to the transaction to open a case for an item not received. The seller will have 3 business days to prove delivery or refund. If he doesn't, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.
At this point, you'll have to let the PayPal dispute play out as you can't open multiple cases for the same item.
At the link below, you can request a call back from eBay by clicking Have us call you on the left side of the page. If you don't see that option, click Chat with our automated assistant. Then type "agent" at the bottom in the chat box. You'll see an option to request a call back there.

As for other buyers - they should choose not to buy from the seller when they see the negative feedback. If all of those buyers opened cases, eBay would know about the problem and the seller would be shut down.

OP3 years agoThank you for all the helpful information and link to reaching a person at customer service. When I called and reported the buyer, I was told that a note would be made and that I needed to report online. I was able to report the seller to eBay and receive a generic response that my complaint would be looked into. Meanwhile, the seller's rating has plummeted, and he has received dozens more negative feedback reporting non-shipment and non-receipt of items. Many buyers reported receiving refunds from eBay, but the seller is still on eBay. What does it take to remove such a seller?

Mentor3 years agoFeedback is there for buyers to evaluate the seller. eBay uses different metrics. If those buyers didn't report the problem by opening Item Not Received cases, then eBay isn't aware of the problem. That's why it's important to follow the process through eBay to resolve an issue.
