How to report a seller when there is no longer an option through normal channels
Summary: barryjjbrown is facing an issue with a seller who initially agreed to pay a high tariff fee, but they continue to receive an invoice from UPS claiming it wasn't paid. Since the refund request was closed, they cannot ask eBay to intervene and are seeking advice on alternative ways to report the seller. disneyshopper suggested checking if the fee might actually be a brokerage fee, which is typically the buyer's responsibility with certain delivery services.
Seller did not disclose there would be a tariff fee that was double the price of the item so I requested a refund through eBay. Seller agreed to pay tariff so I closed the refund request. Item was delivered. Then I received an invoice from UPS for the amount of the tariff fee. Seller says they paid it. UPS says they did not. Seller not responding now. Since I had closed the original refund request there is no longer an option to Ask eBay to Step In. I can find no other way to report the seller. Any ideas?

Mentor3 weeks agoAre you sure the charge is not a brokerage fee? Those are always charged to the buyer for UPS and Fed Ex deliveries.

OP3 weeks agoYes, UPS confirmed it is the tariff fee and it is the same amount the seller had agreed to pay.
