How to report a seller and get a refund after 90 days
I bought a vanity in November 2024 and when it arrived I received a broken mirror. I contacted the seller and they offered to send me a new mirror after 75 days. I waited and realized it was likely a scam as I couldn't do anything about a purchase after 30 days. I didn't want to return the item since it would cost almost as much as I paid for the Vanity, so I would lose double what I bought it for. As the mirror arrived broken, when I went to discuss this with the seller they seemed like they were trying to scam me. They said I needed to wait 75 days for them to send me a new mirror. I have 60 days to return the item but they want me to wait 75 days, I didnt want to wait for them to send me a new mirror because it would be after my return period and they might not send it and then I wouldn't be able to return the item. I don't know what to do as everytime I reach out they say to wait 75 days. I just want a new mirror but they haven't sent one, and it's too late to do anything. I don't know how to even contact a real ebay representative and not an ai. I just want my money back at this point but if ebay can force the seller to also send a mirror that would be great. I just have no clue what to do or where to even start. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

·1 year agoeBay can only help for 30 days, I don’t know why you’re thinking they could do anything after 5 months.

OP1 year agoI have repeatedly tried contacting both the seller and ebay, but haven't got any response, I was hoping for advice not a rude reply, thanks.

Mentor1 year agoThe ebay Money Back Guarantee expires after 30 days, and 60 days since your seller had a 60 days return policy. If you paid with Paypal, perhaps they can help you as they allow up to 180 days from the transaction to file a case. As a last resort, contact your credit card issuer if that is how you paid.
