How to process FREE shipping when orders over $85
Summary: haynie4667 is seeking advice on setting up automatic free shipping and combined shipping rates for their LP album sales on eBay. They are experiencing issues with eBay not automatically adjusting for free shipping on orders over $85 and are also encountering problems with a combined shipping rule that charges $5.99 for each item instead of a reduced rate for additional items. comics-scifi-collectibles suggests the issue might be due to the rules not being applied correctly to the listings and provides a link to a forum post with instructions and screenshots for setting up combined shipping rules.
Shipping Questions: So I only sell one thing(LP albums) and have $4.95 store subscription and setting up free shipping on orders over $85. Wondering if eBay automatically deducts the shipping costs for you after someone places an order over that amount OR do you have to go in and do a refund?
Similar questions - I think I have setup so that first buy is $5.99 and .25 for every item after that. But eBay does not seem to make that for me and charges each item at $5.99 so I have to go in and do a refund which I would prefer not to do if possible. In other words I want automation!

The buyer must use the shopping cart for the discount to be applied.
Your buyer will see the correct shipping in their cart.
I put 3 of your items totaling over $85 into my cart and the shipping is 0.
When I have 2 items, I see 5.99 +.25 shipping

Mentor2 weeks agoIt sounds like you made a rule but didn't apply it to the listings.
