how to pause or unlist an item while unable to send for unknown duration

Question

I am unsure when I will be able to ship something, I may be traveling etc. I can pause an auction, or delete an item... but I would like to not have to re-enter everything again so is there a way to just take something off market for an unspecified length of time so no one sees it and cannot bid/buy it?

Currently, I have some items on pause - but they still show up as for sale.... that is not good.

Auctions will need to be ended and will be there for 90 days to relist. For Fixed Price listings you can put them on vacation. But more convenient and for longer times the best thing to do is turn on the out of stock option and set the available quantity temporarily to zero.

Since your auctions have no bids you can end the listings without any charge. Placing listings on Time Away is only good for 30 days so this is not optimal when you do not know when you will be available as you would have to manually renew the option on the 29th day to keep it going. Time Away really only works with Buy it Now listings and not Auctions.

If you take the listings down they will stay on your unsold list for 90 days only. There is no way to make them stay longer.
