How to obtain a shipping quote on an Ebay item that the seller does not offer shipping on.
I contacted the Ebay seller she said if I could locate the shipper she would ship Texas 79761 to Va 24460 if you could help me. Thanks

OP2 years agoIt's a large air compressor she emailed me and said she was new to the area and the air compressor was there. She noted she no anything about shipping companies. If I wanted to arrange shipping I could.

Mentor2 years ago@lisa1119 I recommend you find a large air compressor closer to you for sale.
You can check with Freight companies to find out how much it will cost for shipping. I would guess it's going to be more than $300, and that's a LOW guess.
It will most likely have to be crated by the freight company first which is also an additional cost.

Something like uShip might work for it. Be sure to have a contract with the company about what protections they have if the item is lost or damaged in shipment as the SELLER is no longer responsible once you have a third party pick up the item.
Using a freight company is also going to void your eBay Money Back Guarantee. If you get the compressor and it doesn't work then the seller is not responsible for refunding you.

Mentor2 years ago@lisa1119. What is the item? If the seller has local pickup only that usually means that the freight shipping costs far exceed the value of the item.
