How to make a complaint about a seller
I received an item which does not work but the seller will only make offers if very partial refunds. They are delaying for 2 weeks. How do I raise a complaint?

If you received an item that is not as described, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.

OP2 years agoThanks.
Am doing that, however I would still like to complain to eBay about the communications with the seller. How do I go about this? I tried but can’t see anything in the customer services contacts other than automatic robot responses which didn’t help.

You can use the Report option in the Action dropdown in the message(s) you received. But the report link is for a policy violation and it doesn't sound like there is a violation yet because you haven't opened a case (the seller just isn't performing good service). You're entitled to a full refund when you open a case, and if the seller doesn't take care of you when you do, eBay will step in when you ask them to and force the refund. THAT will go on the seller's record.
