How to have the system pre-calculate the shipping cost for the buyer for a Multiple Box item
This is a 2 part question.
1) For example, when selling a large lamp and it's shade it's necessary to package / ship them in two boxes. Since the listing would normally calculate and show the shipping cost to the specific buyers location for one item how do can the second box be calculated so it is included in the listing?
2) Then if the sale goes through how does the second shipping label get generated?

Printing 2 labels is easy. Print the first with eh correct weight and dimensions, then go back to sold orders and select print another label. Change the weight and dimensions and purchase label #2.
Getting the calculated shipping is not so easy since eBay will see the total weight as a single package. The easiest way is to use the shipping calculator to find the cost of each as it will ship, and then 1 box of the total weight.
The calculator shows you a range. Take the maximum difference between the 2 boxes, and the single box with the total weight. Enter this amount as a handling charge when you set up the listing.
