How to handle buyers who lie about there reason for returning something?
This is not the first time I have come across this issue. Buyers lie to get there money back without any consideration for my efforts and shipping costs as if I am a big corporation that can easily afford it. Ebays automatic policy is fine, until buyers may fraudulent return claims, then what? Just keep letting them get away with their lying behavior? All this does is tell them how to take advantage of eBay and sellers.

OP2 years agoIt appears that eBays policy overly caters to this abusive behavior, which lacks consideration for the seller.
In my case, the comments under the return, made by the buyer, clearly showed his misrepresentation of the original return reason claim, yet even with a call to eBay and that information being documented, they still allowed the return after my escalation. With respect to sellers, this type of dishonesty should be dealt with. The more eBay enables this type of behavior, the more they send the message to the buyers that it's ok to be dishonest, you will get away with it!

·2 years agoEbay is all about the buyers and do what they can to keep them happy and coming back and spending money.
I think as long as sellers have a no return policy, buyers will continue to lie, if they are not satisfied with their order.
Myself, I won't buy from a seller with a no return policy.

·2 years agoWhen a seller doesn't accept returns, buyers will lie so they can return the item for a refund.
If you accepted returns, buyers could pay return shipping for remorse returns.
