How to handle a return when I accept returns, but buyer pays return shipping.
I just changed my return policy from "no returns accepted" to "returns accepted, buyer pays for return shipping". I now have a return request, how is the best way to handle this? I searched and do not see an explanation of the process. Thanks.

Mentor3 years agoClick on the return request and click accept. Or, if it is a not as described item, you can choose to refund instead of paying the return shipping - the seller always pays on a not as described return.
If the buyer selected a reason like ‘doesn’t fit’, eBay will show them the cost of the label to be deducted from their refund. Then the buyer prints the label if they want to return the item.
Do not refund until returned, unles you do not want the item returned.

OP3 years agoI don't see "accept", only "offer refund", when I open the return request on my sold items.

Mentor3 years agoIt sounds like they have changed the flow a bit - since you accept returns, there shouldn’t be a step to accept it - you accept all returns, but they used to make you click accept anyway 🙂
So then you just wait for the buyer to send the item back. If it was a not as described return, the return would offer you the option to provide your own label, or have eBay provide it. Since you don’t see that, it must be a buyer’s remorse reason.
